Anechoic

"an-e-ko-ik" adj - Neither having nor producing echoes: sound absorbent: an anechoic chamber.

Anechoic are three young men and a world of ideas. They formed a couple or three years ago, two childhood friends and a university pal. Rob Leach: onstage you will see him playing a guitar, synth and singing. Tom Butler: onstage he will be playing a piano, bass, and singing. Andrew Lindsay: onstage you will find him playing guitar, synth, and singing. Together they make detailed, expressive music, simple songs embellished by arrangements that demand your attention, that interest you more than usual, that surprise.

Rob, Tom and Andrew have all been in other bands before, dozens of bands, just like everyone else who's in a band right now. Metal bands, dance bands, indie bands. They view Anechoic as a chance for them not to be in a "[insert genre name of choice here]

Furthest Drive Home

Furthest Drive Home have joined the onslaught of rock bands to come out of Surrey over the recent years, joining bands such as Hundred Reasons, Reuben, Days of Worth to come out of the Aldershot/Guildford area. There is something about them, which sets FDH apart from those other bands though, a more poppier edge, but still being able to drive out the riffs and power chords to rival any rock band.

Its taken a few years to get to where they are now, but after the 2005 that they had, theyre hoping that 2006 will be their year.

They were featured on the Drive-Thru Records/Purevolume.com compilation bands you love, have heard of and should know compilation at the beginning of 2005 with US acts such as Fall Out Boy, Hellogoodbye, Matchbook Romance, Midtown and many more. 2005 also saw their first UK tour under their own steam, still at the tender ages of between 16 and 19. They continued to gig, and recorded their up and coming EP Lost In Genre which is released on iTUNES on Monday 29th May on their own label FDH Records featuring the myspace.com hit Directors Cut as well as popular live tracks Tower Over The Tallest and Eyes Wide Shut

Towards the end of 2005 they were voted one of the 'Local Heroes' on the Taste of Chaos tour headlined by Funeral For A Friend, and were selected to play the Brighton leg of the Taste of Chaos tour with such other prestigious acts as The Used, Rise Against and Story of the Year. They went down a storm and it was a great experience and stepping stone for them to play in front of a sold out Brighton Centre. Over 3500 were in attendance.

2006 has seen countless gigs, sponsorship from popular cult clothing brand Drop-Dead Clothing (Lostprophets, Bring Me The Horizon), being selected for support slots with such bands as Hellogoodbye and Fenix TX and a lot of interest from labels and such like.

The future is bright for Furthest Drive Home bringing the best parts of where US bands like Fall Out Boy have done well to the table, and mixing them with their influences ranging from indie bands such as The Departure, to acts like Queen and Ultravox. 2006 could also see the release of their debut album. During the month of June 2006 Furthest Drive Home exceeded 120,000 plays on myspace.com and with 150,000 fast approaching everyday they are definitely ones to watch in 2006!

Reveal Your Innerself

My Psychoanalyst

My Psychoanalyst began when three plucky young scamps from the middle of nowhere had a rumbling in their bellies for some pop songs with loads of noise thrown in for good measure. About two years, some broken instruments, a lot of noise, plenty of gigs and a flashy montage to rival that of a Neil Buchannan BIG ART ATTACK later and we're up to speed.

Rolling Dog

Rolling Dog consists of five young chaps - Matt Woolway: Vocals, Rob Mason: Guitar, Kevin Jubb: Keys, Jack Stanton: Bass and Sam Woolway: Drums, all from the same town near Portsmouth. With a passion for killer pop songs and live performances involving blood and sweat (as of yet no tears) the band recite tales of sleazy suburbia, alligators, spooky discos, holding hands, catching buses and reading tea leaves.

The band produce all their own material and after recording their first demo Rolling Dog managed to sell out the 400-capacity Wedgewood Rooms two times in a row through sheer word of mouth. The band were also personally invited to play at Alan McGee
